Project Cosmos will be the first of its kind to be powered by the new Hydrogen propulsion system, first announced by Lurssen in 2021. The system generates electricity by combining hydrogen and oxygen, producing only water vapor as a byproduct. Read more about hydrogn fuel cell technology here. Due to be completed in 2024 it will be thsi first of its kind and a flagship for Lurssen.
Cutting edge technology
The 114.2m superyacht project cosmos has been technically launched from Lurssen’s facility in Rendsburg, Germany. She will now be moved to a neighbouring facility for fitout, final fairing and painting. Its clear from these early pictures that she will be a one of a kind vessel.

Designed by Marc Newson, one of the most renound designers today. The design is like no other and features the curvature and sleak lines synonymous with the design studio.
Design Features
Little is known about the design, however we do know that it featuring a large helideck on the bow section, a large swimming pool on the expansive main deck and multiple garage doors along the hull which will house tenders and toys. We are excited to see just what the design will look when completed.
